Biography

Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, Camille Chen moved to Houston, Texas at age 3.  While attending The University of Texas at Austin, she was introduced to the acting world and landed small roles in “Miss Congeniality” as Miss New Hampshire, and “The Life of David Gale” as news anchor Cindy Chin, plus featured roles in The New Guy and Spy Kids 3-D.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater, Camille moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her acting career.  She immediately started landing national commercials such as the Old Navy Christmas campaign (the carolers),  T-Mobile, Campbell’s Soup, Sherwin-Williams, and Chevrolet. She has three national spots airing now – Kaplan, Olive Garden, and Target.

But her real passion is in television and film. A big break came for her when she booked a recurring guest-starring role on Aaron Sorkin€™s NBC show Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, where she got to work with Matthew Perry and Sarah Paulson. This past year, she has had meaty guest-starring roles on Law And Order, in which she played the killer, Private Practice where she got to play the pregnant wife of an American soldier stationed in Iraq, and Grey€™s Anatomy where she got struck by lightning (AND had three guys fight over her, which was kind of fun).

She currently resides in Los Angeles, having moved back a year ago after living in New York City for a year and a half. She loves cooking gourmet meals for her friends, eating out, traveling, anything active, karaoke, and her 3 cats Bear, Teddy, and Pickle. And she of course, loves her family, fans, and her Christian.
